For more than 28 years, Gezira Hila Impex has been working to connect Sudan’s agricultural resources with international markets through reliable supply, quality control, efficient logistics, and long-term commercial partnerships.
Established in 1998, the company has grown from a local trading operation into an integrated export business with a strong presence in the Gum Arabic and agricultural commodities sector.
Today, Gezira Hila Impex exports approximately 5,000 metric tonnes annually, representing more than 200 containers per year, to customers across 8 international markets.

The Infrastructure Behind Reliable Sudanese Commodity Supply
In commodity trading, scale is not defined by one shipment or one warehouse. It is defined by the ability to respond consistently when demand increases, specifications change, or markets require larger volumes within tighter timelines.
This is where Gezira Hila Impex has built its strength.
Port Sudan Terminal & Processing Facility
With more than 28 years of experience, the company has developed an operational base designed to support the export of Gum Arabic and other Sudanese agricultural commodities to international buyers.
Its current footprint includes 5 warehouses with a total storage capacity of 7,000 MT, a 4,000 m² processing facility, and a team of more than 90 employees supporting commercial, operational, quality, and logistics activities.
This structure enables the company to maintain stock availability, organize supply from different producing areas, prepare products according to buyer specifications, and coordinate shipments throughout the year.
Capacity That Supports Commercial Flexibility
Gezira Hila Impex currently exports around 5,000 MT annually, equivalent to more than 200 containers, serving customers across 8 international markets.
These figures are important, but their real value lies in the flexibility they create.
A strong storage base makes it possible to manage seasonal commodities more effectively. Processing capacity allows products to be prepared according to different market requirements. An experienced operational team helps coordinate documentation, inland transport, port procedures, and shipment execution without treating each order as an isolated transaction.
Together, these capabilities allow the company to serve both regular buyers and larger contract-based requirements.
Managing Supply at Origin
One of the most important advantages in agricultural exports is proximity to origin.
Operating within Sudan gives Gezira Hila Impex direct access to sourcing networks and producing regions. This allows the company to respond to changes in availability, build stock ahead of demand, and coordinate purchasing more efficiently.
For international buyers, this means dealing with a supplier that is not only active in the export stage, but also closely connected to the upstream supply environment.
Built for Larger Opportunities
The company’s existing infrastructure provides a platform for further expansion.
With 7,000 MT of storage capacity, 3,000 MT of processing capacity, and an established annual export flow, Gezira Hila Impex is positioned to take on larger supply programs as its customer base grows.
The next stage is therefore not simply about increasing export volume. It is about strengthening systems, certifications, quality assurance, traceability, and operational efficiency so that growth can be sustained.
For buyers seeking long-term access to Sudanese Gum Arabic and agricultural commodities, reliability is ultimately more important than a single competitive price.
That is the capability Gezira Hila Impex continues to build: a supply platform able to combine origin access, infrastructure, operational experience, and international market execution.
As global demand for natural ingredients and agricultural raw materials continues to grow, Gezira Hila Impex remains committed to strengthening its international presence, entering new markets and building lasting partnerships with manufacturers, distributors and industrial buyers around the world.
